Welcome to the Wild West

In 6Gun, we play Cowboys of all race, gender, and sexuality that live in an idealized version of the 1870’s Wild West. As a Cowboy you’ve got Grit, you’re Rootin’, Tootin’, and Shootin’ your way through these towns sometimes blow off Stress with your Vice. Ain't nobody perfect. Your Cowboys are out here just trying to make a living and living the Dream: Getting rich, providing for the company you keep, and burying those getting in the way.

Designed for One Shots and Campaign Play

This silly little cowboy rpg is built rules light for easy play One Shot style. Characters can be made on a single 3x5 notecard, or scribbled on a napkin if so needed. While the principal gameplay is designed for one shots, the special Dream Advancement mechanics provide means for characters to change and grow and survive multiple adventures over long term play. 

Unique Rolling Mechanics

Make rolling checks interesting and fun with the unique mechanics of the 6Gun engine! Rolling 3d6 and scoring successes and failures creates a dynamic pass/complication/fail system that creates unique and dynamic story beats off of every roll. 

Unique Dueling Mechanics

High noon duels happen and fast and in real time. Inspired by Yahtzee and Tenzi, these dueling mechanics are fast paced, require real dexterity, and just enough luck to make duels tense and on edge. Two people draw guns, one person walks away.
