Version 1.3!


Hello all!

There's a bunch of updates learned from recent play-testing, mostly dealing with the following:

  • Full casters have more spell slots at level 1, but less power increase to level 2. 
  • Clerics and Wizards now roll a d4 to learn their new spells instead of a d6. 
  • Adjusted action economy and satchel/backpack rules to reduce the clogging of bonus actions/basic actions on combat turns. 
    • Satchels are now a bonus action to use items while backpacks are still a basic action, and swapping between on-hand items/weapons are free actions now. 
  • Skills switched from a different modifier/bonus to being advantage on ability check if skill applies. 
  • Advantage and disadvantage rules clarified. 
  • Some spells were missing descriptions, a few missing potions, and other minor errors. These have been fixed. 

That's the gist of what has changed. As for future updates, I'm still feel like Cleric can use some more work, I'm not quite satisfied with it, but at this point I'm relying on some player feedback to kind of get some direction. I don't usually play cleric, it's often on the bottom of my list of desired classes to play and I'm not a huge fan of the content I could adapt from 5e, so it's been one of the hardest classes for me to design.
